Amongst the giants

1 Dec

The programme today included, trees, trees and then some more trees… It was very much to Tom’s liking because that meant he got to use the four wheel drive to his heart’s content on the unpaved forest roads. We visited the Gloucster Tree, a giant tree you can climb up and which was used to detect bush fires. Then we stumbled onto the Great Tingle ( Eucalypt) Tree, with a girth of incredible 24 metres and finally we had a look at the forest canopy from the top on the Tree Top Walk, 65 metres up in the air.
